Alcatraz Island & Sausalito Senior Day Out

Join Sawari Seniors for a comfortable and thoughtfully coordinated outing to Alcatraz Island and the Sausalito waterfront. This trip is designed primarily for seniors, but family members, children and grandchildren are welcome to join.

Package price: $99 per person

The package includes round-trip transportation from selected Bay Area pickup hubs, a Sausalito waterfront visit, bottled water, light Indian snacks, trip coordination and senior-focused support.

Alcatraz ticket: The ticket is not included in the $99 package price and will be charged separately. We are trying to secure senior group tickets based on the final number of confirmed bookings. The estimated senior ticket price is approximately $45, subject to availability and approval by Alcatraz City Cruises. Confirmed guests will be informed of the final ticket price before being charged.

A Sawari reservation does not guarantee an Alcatraz ticket until the group booking is confirmed. Once tickets become non-refundable under the operator’s terms, Sawari will not be able to refund or credit the ticket portion.

The path from the Alcatraz dock to the Cellhouse is steep, with approximately 130 feet of elevation. Seniors who may have difficulty walking uphill may use the S.E.A.T. electric shuttle, subject to availability and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please inform us while booking about any mobility, medical or accessibility concerns.

After Alcatraz, we will visit Sausalito for waterfront sightseeing, lunch and free time. Lunch is not included. Guests may bring their own food, especially if they have dietary restrictions, or purchase lunch nearby. We will try to identify a suitable vegetarian restaurant.

Please select your preferred pickup region while booking. Final pickup hubs and timings will be shared a few days before the trip based on confirmed reservations and routing. This is a shared group outing and does not include individual home pickup unless arranged separately.

Confirmed guests may join the Sawari Seniors WhatsApp community for trip updates, pickup planning and reminders. A separate WhatsApp group may also be created closer to the outing for confirmed participants.

Not included: Alcatraz ticket, lunch, personal purchases and optional expenses.
